Ferndale History Walk

Learn the unique and untold history of Ferndale on a free walk led by Western Washington University history major CeCe White.

She will guide walkers on a 2-mile tour starting at Pioneer Pavilion Community Center and ending at Fringe Brewing. Along the way, the tour will feature a small stretch of the Nooksack River, three local downtown parks, and several of Ferndale's favorite downtown restaurants and businesses.

The focus of the tour is to offer a more comprehensive history of Ferndale and the surrounding era, with particular emphasis on highlighting the histories that have been under-represented in Ferndale's local history.  Come walk with us and learn some of Ferndale's unique and untold history!

Stay Safe From Hate

Did you know that since the start of the pandemic, Anti-Asian racism in the form of threats and acts of violence has risen 150%.  We denounce these acts, and encourage everyone in Ferndale to educate themselves about this issue and practice solutions.  The "Stay Safe From Hate" booklet teaches simple ways to stay safe and also create safety for others who may be in harm's way.  Please take a look ad commit to calling out anti-Asian sentiment when you hear and see it.
